Colney Lane; coordinating roadworks and protecting access

Following residents’ concerns, I have secured a delay to the Burnthouse Lane works until after the Colney Lane works are completed.

Following residents’ concerns, I have secured a delay to the Burnthouse Lane works until after the Colney Lane works are completed.

The Colney Lane team has also agreed to make allowances for a walking and cycling route through the works, as originally promised. In my update on 8 September, I asked residents to allow a few days for those arrangements to be made.

The oak on the edge of Braymeadow Lane was also being assessed by an ecologist. My update explained that its condition would determine whether it needed to be removed on safety grounds or whether the path could be routed around it, as with the other oaks.

Thank you to everyone who raised concerns and shared feedback. I will continue monitoring the work and raising residents’ questions with the relevant teams.
